Me and my girlfriend visited the restaurant last week and due to the fantastic service and outstanding food went back two nights later! After the chefs recommendation and being shown what type of fish they had on offer, we went for the Grey Mullet. Absolutely delicious! Good for the money, and knowing the fish is fresh and caught locally that day helps make the whole experience even more enjoyable! Be sure to go!!

My wife and I have dined at the Fish Plate several times now and never cease to be delighted by the variety of the menu, the quality of Geoffrey's food and the lovely warm welcome his partner Carol extends to everyone. The special dishes and the excellent wines will make for a memorable evening at a reasonable price, but everyone must try the Chef's signiture dish of 'fishcakes' - yes fishcakes but like no others you've had before ... and as one of the cheapest options on the menu fantastic value for money. This is the restaurent that will put Watchet firmly on the dining out map.

We had lunch at the Fish Plate in early August this year. The quality of the food was beyond compare, and could rival any fish restaraunt in the south west. The service first class, with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The Fish Plate is now Abbie's favourite place to eat, and we will be back.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome and wonderful meal we had in your restaurant last Friday evening (6/3/09). We came across you purely by chance, and what a lucky find it was. I had the opportunity to try 'witch', a fish I had never heard of before, which (excuse the pun) was superb. The whole meal was a delight and rounded off nicely with a selection of local Somerset cheeses. We'll be back!

My partner and I dined at the Fish Plate last week. Although it was busy the welcome was attentive. The food was great and it was good to see some different meat dishes besides the fish. I had venison that was cooked to perfection as was my partner's lamb. Our friends had hake and pollack and they too said it was very good. All in all a good night out and not too pricy either just over £100 with wine. Well done fish plate long may you reign in this little town.

We came with friends who had eaten at The Fish Plate previously. We have eaten at many local restaurants since moving to Watchet just over 2 years ago and this will be difficult to surpass. Mussels were divine, crab pie which is a starter but I took as a main was heavenly with a side dish of Maris Piper chips. Dave had lamb which silenced him. This meal was poetry. Wine ambrosia. Ambience so welcoming and cheery. We most certainly will be back and I've already told 4 friends about it. Good luck and keep creating this elegant cuisine. Bon Appetit.
