Geoffrey Beetlestone, Proprietor and Head Chef of 'The Fish Plate' has trained and worked at many prestigious restaurants throughout England, including:

  • Langans, London
  • Bentley's, London
  • Brooks's Gentlemans Club, London
  • Le Mange Tout, Cambridge
  • Inn at Whitewell, Lancashire
  • Castlefield Hotel, Manchester

Geoffrey eventually decided to venture out on his own, opening his first restaurant around the millenium: 'Beetlestones' in Blackburn. He owned the 'Red Rock Inn' in Padiham, which was awarded 'Best Pub Food North West' and was included in the Michelin Guide. Geoffrey is now the proprietor & Head Chef of 'The Fish Plate' in Watchet, a Somerset harbour town steeped in tradition.
